Jungle Kings face wounded GU

After a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Mochudi Centre Chiefs last Friday night, Gaborone United (GU) return to the National Stadium tonight for a tricky Mascom Premier League game against Police XI.

The last time the two teams met was during the last 16 stage of the Coca-Cola Cup in Mochudi early this year and GU hammered the Jungle Kings 4-2. In tonight's match, GU will be hoping to recover their poise after the embarrassing loss to Chiefs. Despite the defeat, the Reds have one of the best attacks in the league featuring Tshepo Molefe, Sageby Sandaka, Kenny Ledikwe, Edmore Mufema and Ronald Chikomo supported by the hardworking Itayi Gwandu in midfield.

Police XI coach, Sthanda Mogwadi said that he has realised weaknesses in his defence in the past three games. He said they have conceded silly goals but he has addressed the problem. He said conceding two goals against BMC, Extension Gunners and Notwane is a clear indication that their defence needs special attention.
