Jungle Kings claw Tigers

FRANCISTOWN: Did the tigers sleep while the lions went hunting? This could well describe the be MOBILE Premier League match between Great North Tigers (GNT) and Police XI at the Francistown Stadium last weekend. The Jungle Kings won 1-0 in a match where GNT players seemed to think they were being indulged by their cousins.

The Tigers produced the first spark in less than five minutes when Mothusi Ntatawe made a short pass to Kabelo Kadisa who had waltzed his way into the penalty area. The resultant shot was tame and gave Police XI goalkeeper, Jackson Legodi no problems.

Thereafter, the game produced few chances till half-time. In the second half, GNT attempted to inject some urgency in the game and forced two consecutive  corners, which however went to waste. The first corner saw former Zebras' kingpin Agisanyang 'Barcos' Mosimanegape shooting over the goalposts. The GNT forwards were easily dispossessed by Police XI defenders at a poorly attended game where the noise from players was louder than that from the stands.
