Extension Gunners scraped to a narrow 1-0 victory against Uniao Flamengo Santos in a beMOBLE Premier League match played at Molepolole Sports Complex on Saturday.

Loudry Tchape scored a beautiful free kick in the 64th minute after the two teams looked like they were headed for stalemate. Traditionally encounters between these two sides are never short of entertainment but this one simply lacked spark. Perhaps this had a lot to do with the fact that only a handful of supporters turned up for the match.

Gunners could have gone up in the 12th minute when their new wonderkid Mponang Mponang broke loose from the Santos defence but found Chengerai Dube well placed to parry the ball back into play. Skipper Ofentse Mmipi failed to capitalize on the re-bound kicking wildly high. Eight minutes later Mponang charged at the opponents' defence again but once again Dube foiled any threat. Santos reacted as the game progressed, Mathews Moruti coming close in the 26th minute after Gofaone Tiro turned Gunners defender Finki Mothibi.
