Nare’s mobile phones were unreachable, but his resignation did not come as a surprise following his touching speech at the club’s former chairperson, Phenyo Gothaang’s funeral a fortnight ago. Nare hinted at the funeral that he had doubts whether he will continue as the head coach especially after the death of Gothaang.

He said the wall that he had been leaning on had fallen and doubted if he would stay for long with the Peleng side. “I am the one who invited Gothaang to come and lead this team. He has passed on and that means the wall that I have been leaning on at Extension Gunners has fallen. I do not know if this also means my time with Gunners has ended,” he said.
