Gumbo shuns GU offer for Warriors job

Gaborone United (GU) target, Rahman Gumbo has been appointed substantive Zimbabwe national coach, ending The Reds' hopes of landing the services of the former Township Rollers and Mochudi Centre Chiefs mentor.

Gumbo had been linked with a possible move to the Money Machine after holding successful talks with the club three weeks ago.
Just when it appeared like Gumbo was returning to Botswana where he spent three years coaching Rollers and Chiefs, the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) unveiled him as the Warriors' substantive coach.

Gumbo had been serving as an interim coach following Norman Mapeza's suspension.
