GNT explain why they relegated

FRANCISTOWN: Great North Tigers (GNT) chairman Phanuel Nkhoma has said the club was relegated from the be MOBILE Premier League because it played with an under-strength squad in the second round.

"You may note that we did well during the first round of the league. It is because we had a full squad. In the second round, we had injuries to our key players, which took long to heal. Even now some players are still out," he explained.

GNT was dealt a mortal blow with injuries to key players Agisanyang Barcos Mosimanegape, Anesu Gondo, Keabetswe Batunda and Jeffery Ndlovu. Mosimanegape joined GNT at the beginning of the second round while Gondo had been instrumental, finding the net 12 times to be among the top scorers in the first round.
