The national girls Under-13 cricket squad is not very far from taking shape. So far there are 20 handpicked students from Ramogotsi, Philip Moshotle, Bophirima, Mojadife, Rasesa and Itumeleng primary schools who form the talent base of the squad.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Botswana Cricket Association (BCA), Girish Ramakrishna, says the team has been training hard and has had several practice tournaments since June last year in preparation for major tournaments outside the country in which Botswana will participate soon.

The team also practises every Saturday at the Gaborone Cricket Club (GCC) Oval.
