Although they are seen as one of the favourites to clinch this season's Mascom Top 8 competition, BDF XI have revealed that winning a cup will be a bonus. The team is focusing on building a formidable side that will only be able to seriously challenge for honours next season.

When they came into office, they came with the idea of building the team's attack, which has been lacking in the past few seasons.Unlike in the other transfer windows, they had to be more strategic in their acquisition of players.

"We realised that in order to achieve our dream, we had to bring in attacking midfielders. We went onto to bring Boitumelo Mafoko and Ofentse Mmipi," Addenes told Mmegi Sport.  The two midfielders were brought in to add on what was already starting to look a formidable attack that includes the likes of Mokgathi Mokgathi, Molatedi Mabina and Jones Kwape.
