Francistown wins bowling league

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Francistown Bowling Club lifted the Haskins trophy after their triumph in the Botsogo Tuli tournament over the weekend.

On a cloudy, drizzly weekend, the club won the tournament to clinch the league championship. Francistown has been consistent throughout the campaign and their win was largely expected as they went into the weekend with a healthy nine point lead.

The weekend weather did not dampen their spirits though it made the green heavier and the ball moved much slower on what was expected to be a quicker green. Francistown A came tops with six points and 29 shots while Francistown D was second with six points and 14 shots.
