FRANCISTOWN: Premier league outfit, Sua Flamingoes have appointed former Notwane spokesperson Thomas Motsewakhumo as their new general manager.

The club said the move is part of a revamp of the secretariat. Motsewakhumo has been handed a one-year contract. “We appointed him more than two months ago, but he could not join the club then because of the lockdown in Gaborone. He has been from his base in Gaborone. He relocated to Sua Town this month. We felt he is the most suitable person to lead the transformation of the club. We have an option to renew his contract depending on his performance,” Sua Flamingoes chairperson, Tirelo Thebe said yesterday.

“For now he will have someone who will assist him to run the affairs of the club on a daily basis. The main intention is to beef up the secretariat beginning next year to effectively roll out our five-year strategy.”
