Financial woes stop Diphatsa women side

FRANCISTOWN: Diphatsa Volleyball Club has been forced to halt the operations of its women’s side due to financial constraints.

The side has not been performing well in the Mascom Volleyball League after losing last seasons’ outstanding player, Chada Majaha to fellow military team, BVF VI.

Diphatsa women showed signs of recovery by things took a turn for the worse when the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) announced it was cutting funding for its sports teams to focus only on one side.
