Fighters' fans perish in road mishap

The football fraternity is in mourning again after another road accident claimed two Mogoditshane Fighters' supporters on Saturday night.

Three other supporters sustained serious injuries in the fatal accident near Kolobeng Bridge in Thamaga. The supporters were returning from Jwaneng where their team played Jwaneng Comets in a Premier League game. Fighters won 1-0 courtesy of Masego Ntshingane's goal.

It is said one of the fans died at the scene while the other died at Princess Marina hospital on Sunday. One of the injured supporters has been discharged from hospital. Two others are still admitted with one reportedly in critical condition at Thebe Phatshwa Air base clinic. It is reported that the deceased were employees of Botswana Defence Force (BDF). The deceased are from Letlhakane and Mahalapye.
