FIFA Rewards Sebele

Lele Sebele was the star of the night at the Botswana Football Association (BFA) awards on Friday as he was presented with a special FIFA award.

Sebele was among 52 recipients rewarded for their contribution to Botswana's football development. The awards were part of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) 50th anniversary celebrations.

Sebele has served football in all capacities from being a player, coach, referee and administrator. BFA president Phillip Makgalemele said Sebele, who is currently disabled, had proven that disability was not inability as he "continues to serve sports and was once president of Paralympics Association of Botswana (PASSOBO)". Other awards recipients included Vice President Ian Khama, who is also the patron of BFA, national Under-23 coach David Bright, Banks Panene (posthumously), Kgomotso Mogapi (posthumously), Dikarabo Ramadubu of the Botswana Guardian, and referee Edwin Senai.
