ECCO, Nico in battle of the North

Selebi-Phikwe will tonight be turned into a battlefield as two in-form teams, Nico United and ECCO City Greens, clash in a be MOBILE Premier League encounter.

Second-placed Mamoja Diskie will be looking to avenge a 3-1 loss they suffered at home against Majombolo last November. This will however prove to be a daunting task for the visitors considering Nico's impressive run at home since Toba Mothuba took over as caretaker coach following the dismissal of Willard Khumalo last year. The Selebi-Phikwe side are fourth with 29 points, just three shy of third-placed Mochudi Centre Chiefs. Mothuba will once again bank on the reliable duo of Tendai Ndoro and Bernard Simakwenzi to provide goals.

Ndoro has been in fine form having scored some important goals along the way. He is currently second on the goal scorers' charts with 15 goals to his name, only three behind leader, Moemedi 'Jomo' Moatlhaping who has 18.
