Double blow for Vultures

The national rugby team, the Vultures, has been dealt a double blow after an injury to prop Oarabile Chiche and the pull-out of South Africa's Eastern Free State from a friendly.

The Eastern Free State friendly, which was set for this weekend, would have marked the Vultures first preparatory match ahead of the Africa Division One B qualifiers for 2015 World Cup. The qualifiers are scheduled for the weekend of June 9 to 15 in Senegal. BDF Cheetahs' prop, Chiche was expected to play a crucial role in the campaign that kicks off with a tricky tie against Tunisia on June 11.

Vultures' coach, Ivor Greaves said the friendly match against Eastern Free State is off but they hope to play Tuks Rugby Club of South Africa."We were due to play Eastern but we are not going to play them anymore because they have pulled out," Greaves told Mmegi Sport.
