Comets closer to Premier League return

Former Premier League side Jwaneng Comets retained their position at the top of the First Division South log standings despite playing to a 1-1 draw against Black Peril this past weekend.

With just four matches remaining, Comets have collected 34 points with a healthy 19-goal difference. They have won nine matches, drawn seven and lost two. Under the tutelage of Mike Sithole, Comets now look set to return to the elite league.

The climbed to the summit of the league table a few weeks ago, leapfrogging Wonder Sporting who had been sitting at the top for the better part of the season. Wonder Sporting have in the last few matches gone through a rough patch despite boasting some of Botswana's established players.
