Chiefs up the stakes in title race

Mochudi Centre Chiefs players are reportedly guaranteed a P500,000 windfall if they win the coveted be MOBILE Premier League title.

The club management is said to have promised to give the players half of the P1 million top prize should they retain the league title.

The reigning league champions go into their weekend match against Naughty Boys trailing log leaders, Gaborone United (GU) by three points with only three games to go. Chiefs' skipper Pontsho Moloi said that the club has promised them an incentive but refused to disclose the amount. "In any organisation, incentives are good. They are always a good motivator but can have negative impact because players might end up putting themselves under pressure. As much as an incentive has been promised, we are not looking at that at the moment. We want to take one game at a time and we are not underrating any of our opponents," Moloi said.
