The Kgatleng boys have watched as their distant rivals try in vain to cling to their coat tails with the home stretch in sight. Chiefs were ruthless with a 5-1 mauling of Great North Tigers (GNT) in Francistown on Saturday.Chasers, Township Rollers and Gaborone United (GU) saw their slim title aspirations slip into reverse gear on a weekend, which produced 25 goals.
Rollers suffered a shock 2-0 loss away to Nico United, which all but extinguishes their interest in the chase. The defending champions have been far from their fluent best and the third loss of the season saw them slip to third position.In an evenly contested affair, Nico sprang into life in the dying minutes of the game with two quick goals from regular gunslingers, Master Masitara and Bernard Semakwezi.
