A 10-man Mochudi Centre Chiefs continued with their march to the title when they narrowly beat Gaborone United (GU) 2-1 in a Mascom Premier League game at the National Stadium on Friday night.

Chiefs have now amassed 51 points and remain unbeaten after 21 outings. Though they managed to leave the National Stadium with maximum points, Chiefs' display was marred by signs of indiscipline from some of the players. Goalkeeper Noah Maposa was sent off for a reckless challenge on GU striker Kenny Ledikwe in the 69th minute and two-goal hero Jerome 'JJ' Ramatlhakwana's attitude on the night, irked many football supporters. On three occasions ,Ramatlhakwana was involved in some off the ball incidents, which deserved a red card but referee Uyapo Julius left him on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes. Of late the attitude of Chiefs' players on the pitch has left a lot to be desired and the sooner the management takes action the better. After the GU game, some Chiefs' supporters disclosed that the attitude displayed by their stars is worrying. "JJ o lesego gore a ba a feditse game (JJ is lucky to have finished the game)," remarked a concerned supporter outside the stadium.GU coach Mike Sithole told Monitor Sport that he was shocked by the behaviour of some Chiefs' players. "The referee did little to reprimand them. I was not impressed by the way they pushed my players around and if it was an international game, they could have been sent off," a disappointed Sithole said. He told Monitor Sport that he talked to Chiefs' coach Beston Chambeshi after the game and got assurances that the matter would be addressed. "I do not know why all of a sudden they have become unruly," said Sithole, who only crossed to GU in December after spending sometime with Chiefs.

Efforts to get a comment from Chambeshi were fruitless as his phone was off and publicity officer, Clifford Mogomotsi failed to answer his phone. On the night, Chiefs started well and opened the scoring in the 19th minute through leading goalscorer, Jerome 'JJ' Ramatlhakwana. The South African-bound striker picked a loose ball after Mpho 'Jomo' Mabogo was fouled and beat goalkeeper Kgosietsile Senjoba on the near post. Chiefs were leading 1-0 at the break.Eleven minutes into the second half, GU super-sub Tshepo 'Schoolboy' Molefe equalised with a well-taken free-kick from outside the box.
