BSA raises funds for Venezuela-bound women's team

Botswana Softball Association (BSA) has planned a number of activities to raise funds for the national women's team trip to the world championships in Caracas, Venezuela from June 23-28.

The activities include tea parties, a sponsored walk and a dinner. The tea parties have been going on but so far, BSA president Marumo Morule cannot say how much has been raised.

The women's team needs at least P800,000 to participate in the world championships. Morule said the Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) has promised to pay for air tickets, which accounts for 60 percent of the budget for the trip.
