Bright wanted Uganda over Namibia

Zebras coach, David Bright would have preferred to face Uganda in an international friendly match as part of preparation for crucial back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations encounters against Burkina Faso mid-October.

Instead, the Zebras will face familiar opposition in Namibia during the Independence Day celebrations scheduled for the National Stadium on Sunday.

“Not taking anything away from Namibia, I had wanted to face Uganda. It is not that I underrate Namibia,” Bright said.
