Bowls team disappoints in African States tourney

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Botswana bowls team performed below par at the Zone Six African States Tournament (AST) played in Umhlali, Durban, from July 27 to August 5.

Botswana Bowling Association (BBA) spokesperson, John Gaborutwe told Mmegi Sport that the team had failed to achieve a top three finish and instead ended last out of seven countries.

He said that South Africa scooped position one in both men and women disciplines. Namibia and Zimbabwe took silver and bronze in the men's discipline while position two and three went to Zambia and Zimbabwe in the women's categories.
