Botswana opened its Group A account at the 10th CAF Under-17 Championship finals with a 3-1 loss to Tunisia in Casablanca on Saturday evening.

The North African side scored the first goal, literally from kick-off through Arbi who added the second in the fifth minute. Botswana reduced the deficit before half time through Tumisang Orebonye and it looked like they could get back into the match.

Tunisia then sealed all three points with a third goal in the second half by Hassen. Earlier, hosts Morocco defeated Gabon 4-1 in group A. Botswana's next match is against Morocco tomorrow (Tuesday).
