International defender, Boniface 'Zolo' Makolo is considered to be one of the best natural left-backs to come out of this country.

However, the Township Rollers' player has had trouble with referees because of his robust tackles, raising questions whether he should don national colours.

In the 2008 Olympic Games' qualifiers, Makolo has not finished a single game because of disciplinary reasons. His record is two red cards in two games in the qualifiers. The Morocco red card means he automatically missed the Cameroon game at the National Stadium last month. He will suffer the same fate again when the Young Zebras meet Guinea in Gaborone in the return leg.
