Aiming for the sky: Netball has come up with a new tournament meant to improve the quality of the national team

Botswana Netball Association (BONA) unveiled the new Spar Super Stars P300, 000 deal on Tuesday in Gaborone.

Unlike in the past where excellence was recognised at the end of the five weeks tournament, the new sponsorship has allowed for rewarding outstanding players after each game, said BONA marketing and publicity officer, Ntebo Maplanka.

“Each and every game will have the best player of the game just like we have in football. This is why we say this tournament is more player-centric; it is focused on the individual player,” she said.
