BOBONONG: William Motsamai, captain of Bobirwa Second Division club, Peacemakers has called on the Botswana Football Association (BFA) to consider making Bobirwa a football region on its own. Speaking during a sponsored walk to raise money for JPS football club, Motsamai said the move is necessary to help the many clubs in Bobirwa.

He explained that the clubs are disadvantaged by the fact that there are limited places in the 16-club Second Division League. This means that many good clubs and players who do not make it to the competition are discouraged with the result that football support is falling. "Youth are discouraged and only play active football during festive seasons instead of being kept busy throughout the year by the league," Motsamai said.
