BNSC fails to meet deadline to fill key positions

The Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) has failed to meet the July deadline to fill key positions, which has left mother body without substantive managers in critical areas.

 The positions of executive secretary, finance manager, marketing and communications manager, and sports development manager are vacant, with only acting appointments. The human resources manager (HRM) is still on suspension.

Acting executive secretary, Golesedi Chankuluba and her chairperson, Solly Reikeletseng said the positions should be filled by September 1, with the former saying the matter would be finalised within a week. However, both refused to shed light on the future of Tsholofelo Mathiba, the banned HRM.
