The Botswana Meat Commission (BMC) has said that it will continue supporting its two clubs campaigning in the Premier League despite the financial difficulties it is facing.

The commission owns national champions ECCO City Greens and Coca-Cup winners BMC FC. The commission's general manager, Sonny Molapisi said on Saturday that if need be, they will increase the funds allocated to the two clubs. He was speaking at a ceremony in Lobatse to honour BMC FC for winning the Coca-Cola Cup. He said that despite  the losses that the company incurred in the last few years, management has never thought of abandoning the two clubs.

"We have quite a number of sports teams under us, like the BMC boxing club, a volleyball team, ladies football team as well as chess. As we were going through the rough patch, there are some who thought priority should be given to certain things instead of football.
