BDF VI walks out in protest

OTSE: BDF VI men volleyball team players walked-out of the JB Sports festival award's ceremony in protest because as champions, they felt shortchanged.

The players alleged that there was favouritism in the awards and walked away leaving only their coach behind. "Le tla sala gone foo le diawards tsa lona," one player said as the team walked out. As champions, the army side strongly felt it deserved more awards than any other team. BDF VI got one award but third placed Kutlwano walked away with more honours of best attacker that was won by Thabo Seitshiro withTjiyapo Madeluka winning two  awards of best setter  and best server. Runners-up Mafolofolo won theest blocker through Othusitse Letsholo.

BDF VI players alleged that people who are entrusted with selecting players for individual awards hated them (BDF players). The players said they have been getting a raw deal for a long time despite the fact that they have complained to the Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF).
