Badminton line judge, Emmanuel Kgaboetsile has described his recent Olympic experience as one he will cherish forever.

Kgaboetsile said he learnt a lot from the games and believes that the knowledge he gained will go a long way in helping badminton growth in Botswana. Kgaboetsile made history after he became the first Motswana to officiate at the Olympics.

"Officiating at the Olympics is everybody's dream, and I could not be more happier when I got the invitation to be part of the event," he told Mmegi Sport on arrival from London 2012 on Tuesday. Kgaboetsile and a Moroccan judge were the only two Africans officiating at badminton games. The Africa certified line judge said there is pressure in Olympic Games due to the high umber of spectators compared to any other event he has officiated at. He said this calls for caution not to make mistakes.
