The verdict on who will dress the Zebras in the long term is not yet out. But local clothing brand, All Kasi, will claim a massive victory after the Botswana Football Association (BFA) temporarily extended their deal to March next year.

The BFA made the announcement yesterday, thus paving the way for All Kasi to dress the Zebras at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals to be co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon next January. The BFA has been on the hunt for a technical sponsor since the expiry of All Kasi's contract at the end of August. However, BFA acting chief executive officer (CEO), Sonnyboy Sethibe, said with the adjudication process expected to take time, it was decided that the two parties extend the deal until March next year.

"In agreeing to the extension, the BFA took into account the need for everyone to rally behind the Zebras as it prepares for the AFCON finals. Consideration was also given to the fact that it will take sometime to finalise the ongoing process of adjudication of the tenders and that, even after completing the adjudication, several months will be needed to re-brand national teams," Sethibe said in a press statement released yesterday. He said the BFA would announce the outcome of the tender adjudication in due course.
