All eyes on Zebras in 2011

The year 2010 was dubbed Africa's year, chiefly due to the World Cup coming to the continent for the first time.

Amid the World Cup euphoria that gripped the nation, the Zebras silently got their 2012 Africa Cup of Nations campaign underway. At the dawn of a New Year, the Zebras, no hoppers at the beginning of the qualifiers, stood on the brink of history.

It will not be too far fetched therefore, to dub 2011, the year of the Zebras. In three months, the Zebras might find themselves soaked in glory if they qualify for Africa's biggest soccer showpiece for the first time. Heroes will be confirmed while, coach, Stanley Tshosane often derided and dismissed as inept, faces a defining moment in his career. The year 2011 belongs to him and a bunch of committed yet underrated footballers who have left broken hearts from Tunis to Blantyre.
