Women elites need to respect ordinary women

The Women elite must stop hurling insults at other women for the former's failure to secure victories in political contests. I have noticed that following Mma Tebelelo Seretse's loss at the recent BDP congress, a number of women elites have come to pile their frustrations on unsuspecting and innocent ordinary women, coming short of accusing them of treason for supporting men in the elections.

These are the same women who have always rebuked people who found fault with women for not supporting each other. The argument then was non-voting of women by other women could not be solely faulted on women themselves. I found this argument convincing especially when one begins to identify and appreciate a number of obstacles that seem to be unique to women.

Now a new chorus came out of Kanye and this time around women are attacked for failing to vote for other women. This is too simplistic and ignores the political environment that shaped up the Kanye Congress. The gender strategy employed by the A Team could not work because the A-Team was evidently fronting for other interests whose proponents did not hide.
