Where did it all go wrong?

The current social, political and economic environment is very conducive for Citizen Economic Empowerement.

The fact of the matter is that the government and other stakeholders have rolled out quite a number of programmes to support CEE.. Of course some of the programmes could not meet their intended objectives. However, it is not surprising  that some of this programmes fail. We need not look further than our schools curriculum and our culture.

Until recently we have been following a curriculum which was biased towards academics. Our graduates could not deliver in the real world market place. We were producing educated but not skilled graduates. Even a doctorate degree is not a guarantee for success in life.
