UB Bookstore Is Ripping Us Off

I have long wanted to write this article about what I and other responsible students see as a sad situation at the UB Bookstore.

To begin with, the prices for books and stationery are just too high, probably two or three times the prices in other bookstores around the city.

To give an example, a USB (memory stick) that cost around P86 at HI-FI Corporation cost P152 in the UB Bookstore. Books are very expensive and even the bags that they sell are of poor quality but of late they have displayed banners in the book store claiming that they have saved us P1 million. I do not know whether they realise some of us are taking courses in economics and we know the tricks of the game.
