At a time when things are changing so fast in the world, we find ourselves rummaging in the dustbins to resuscitate that which countries which move with the times have long repugnantly discarded. They did so because it was no longer applicable in today's world.
Do we really have brainworkers among decision-makers in our education system? What about visionaries? I doubt we do. Is there anyone among the decision-makers who ever thinks about how our education system can be polished? The poor teachers who are hardly ever listened to or consulted when these decisions and policies are implemented always find themselves at the receiving end. The teachers more often than not find themselves grappling with policies that they do not understand and it is up to them to see to it that they are put into practice. This most of the time leads to stress, frustration and sometimes creates a chasm between teachers and the administration.
It underscores the indispensable role women play in our society, particularly in building strong households and nurturing families. The recognition of women as the bedrock of our communities is not just a sentiment; it's a call to action for all women to stand together and support each other in their endeavours.The society's aim to instil essential principles and knowledge for national development is crucial.
