The Botswana system is laughable in the democratic world

The need to review the constitution of Botswana came up regularly during the recent Parliamentary debate on President Ian Khama's recent State of the Nation address.

Considering the number of times I've expressed strong views in support of such a review, this was good news to me.

I was particularly happy that Assistant Minister Charles Tibone not only generally spoke in support of such a review, but also expressed support for the direct election of future presidents by the electorate.
