Khama 'Castrates' Opposition Parties

The recent paradigm shift in government policy and style initiated by President Khama leave a lot to be desired. Most of the introduced developments particularly in the informal sector have been greatly praised.

This include government directive commanding all government departments to buy local artistry products. Vendors who only a few months back were seen as a health hazard and a nuisance have been allowed to sell freely. Khama is indeed proving he has the interests of people at heart and from the look of things, more should be expected. As it has been traditional practice, the issues of the informal sector have always been pioneered by the opposition parties.

If Khama is now man-handling the matters of the ordinary with such a grip, what then is the future of these parties? What will their agenda be? Parties such as BNF and BCP have always thrived and enjoyed massive following especially in urban areas where they are popular for their lambasting of government policies and programmes. They have always called for government failure to end poverty, job creations, youth empowerment, and so on and have always been perceived by the ordinary man as his shoulder to lean on in difficult times: they offered him hope and solidarity. But Khama has shown his military prowess by attacking the enemy at its strong base and surely opposition parties can not deny they have been hardly hit in this regard.
