I Support The Media Practitioners Bill

I welcome the proposed Media Practitioners Bill of 2008 with open arms, especially the item which states that Media Practitioners will be governed by a code of ethics and that those who will be found to be violating these code of ethics would be struck off the register.

Just like any other profession, media practitioners are governed by ethics and they should adhere to them at all times.

The new proposed Bill has come at the right time as most media practitioners in this country are always found wanting when it comes to ethical conduct (Re simolola go ntsha moroko mo maseng!!).
