BNF Mourns Maun Students

The party is particularly saddened that the young students were returning to Maun in high spirits after successfully participating in a sports event in Gaborone and were obviously anticipating a triumphant and celebratory arrival back at their school. Our hearts go to their fellow students, teachers and particularly to their parents, all of who must now deal with the aftermath of this tragic loss of life.
The BNF extends its sincerest condolences to the school and to the families of all the deceased and injured. We know that loss of life is a painful experience for all families. But above all, we know that the death of a child causes the deepest of pain for any parent. This is why the BNF is joining the nation in this moment of shock and pain in extending words of comfort to the bereaved families and praying that God will offer them the comfort and healing they so richly deserve. We also pray for the speedy recovery of all those who were injured, some of who are still in a critical condition.
It underscores the indispensable role women play in our society, particularly in building strong households and nurturing families.
