Bad memories of Riley's

Being a victim of the political events that ensured at Riley's Hotel (there are for victims so far), who is now jobless, I respond with delight to a call for help in a letter authored by one B.M.G. in your issue of 31 Augus

In 2006, prior to his dismissal by the then Assistant Minister Oliphant Mfa, there was a petition written to Cresta Head Office by Riley's staff. What transpired during the general meeting that followed, perhaps gives the said manager all the rights to abuse, not only staff, but also all other resources at Riley's.

Another manager who attended the meeting to resolve the staff complaints, boldly said that whoever did not wish to 'cooperate' with the manager that staff were complaining about should leave their job, because the manager is there to stay, without any trace of shame.
