A response to Media Bill article

Goweditswe Kome's letter which appeared in the Monitor of 14 July, 2008 can not go unchallenged.

The gentleman in question, who  happens to be a practicing journalist, peddled untruths and did not clearly address what I wrote in my previous writing.

I have never said that good journalists are only those who have gone through a journalism school; the truth of the matter is the opposite as the best journalists in this world are those who have never been to a journalism school. The likes of the late NBC Meet the Press moderator, Tim Russert proved to be a quintessential journalist even though he studied law at varsity, while on the local front we have my former working colleague Sakaeyo Baitshephi, who studied Social Sciences and he is the embodiment of Radio Botswana news team!!!!! (I used to tell him that he can still go places)
