A bitter social worker is dangerous

The aim of this article is not to offend anyone. I know that some people will regard me as the most unethical, heartless and unprofessional social worker the country has ever offered. Still, some people will agree with me on some points. It's a fact that social work is a relatively new profession in our beloved country.

It therefore follows that some people often misunderstand it. This is a normal thing. Any new concept is always received with suspicion, skepticism and in some case, misinformation. I have therefore seen it fit to share my experiences with those who may be interested to read.

I however hasten to point out that my heart goes out to all those people who find themselves in situations beyond their control. For some people, it's not their fault that everything just seems to be beyond their scope. It's not a good thing to be on welfare. It's not a good feeling to be consistently nagged with the feeling that one cannot provide for their children. It's really sad, and anyone can find himself or herself in such a situation. No one is immune from such.
