I was misquoted

I refer to your article on page 14 of your 9 March 2012 edition title " Rivals accused GPH of running unlawful lab".Please allow me to make you aware of certain facts pertaining to me as an individual and in respect of the content of your article.

I am not a doctor and have never claimed to be nor masqueraded as a doctor, I did inform your journalist that I am a registered professional, as I am registered with the Health Professions Council of Botswana as a Laboratory Technologist. I object to your article inferring to your readers that I am a doctor.Let me make it clear that in the same article, I have made no allegation whatsoever about doctors being shareholders in any laboratory that I am aware of, this I must presume is either speculation on the part of your journalist or on the grounds of information received from another source.

Let me also make it quite clear that I am not in possession of any letter sent to the Botswana Health Professionals Council in 2006 or in any other year complaining of unethical practices. I must again state that I am at a loss as to how my possession of such a letter could possibly be inferred. However it is possible that your journalist may have another source in this regard. My next point is the line in paragraph three of your article that quotes me as having said that "the government is turning a blind eye on the issue" of unlicensed laboratory facilities in Francistown.
