Zwenshambe villagers take chieftainship to court

ZWENSHAMBE: Residents of this sleepy village are up in arms against the government after a person they did not like was imposed on them as headman of records.

Only a few people turned up for the meeting called by Kgosi Freda Mosojane to announce the headman, purportedly after being instructed by the Minister of Local Government, Margaret Nasha.

Former Mayor of Francistown, and a Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) activist, Peter Ngoma who is a specially elected councillor in the Francistown council, is the new headman of records starting Wednesday.
