Zimbo alleges 'judicial kidnapping'

FRANCISTOWN: A Zimbabwean man facing three counts of obtaining by false pretense sent the court into uncontrollable laughter when he submitted that his continued incarceration was tantamount to 'judicial kidnapping".

"Judicial kidnapping? That is a new one," countered Senior Magistrate, Thato Mujaji,  light-heartedly.

According to one count, 27-year-old Kevin Blaze of Harare obtained credit in the amount of P7 500 by falsely pretending to be the lawful owner of Credit Card No.4436290000001589 on 22 February 22, 2008 at Thapama Cresta Lodge in Francistown, whereas he was not the owner; neither was he authorised to use the card.
