Zambian poacher killed in Chobe

A Zambian poacher has been killed at Chobe National Park. The Times of Zambia says Boniface Ndauze, 41, of John Laing Township in Lusaka was killed following an exchange of fire with wildlife officers.

Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) communications and public relations officer Readith Muliyunda said Ndauze was among 13 others who managed to flee and are currently on the run.?

The body of the deceased has been repatriated back to Zambia.
