Young thugs on the loose in Selebi-Phikwe

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Gangs of young thugs are on the loose in Selebi-Phikwe, the police have said.

Selebi-Phikwe Police Station commander, Superintendent Victor Nlebesi told Mmegi yesterday that boys who completed Form Three and Form Five last year have formed gangs that rape, rob and assault people in the town at night.

The young thugs move in groups of eight to 10 and hail from Botshabelo, Kagiso/Sesame and BCL locations.Nlebesi said that recently, the criminals beat up a man and raped his girlfriend at night. The couple was walking home after a night out. The suspects are still on the run.
