Woman of the Year awards next month

The overall winner will walk away with P30, 000.
The awards, dubbed 'Thari Ya Sechaba', refer to someone who has dedicated her life to serving the community they live in.
Lenong said nomination forms had been distributed in 750 stations in 110 areas throughout the country.

She said that they were also looking at tangible works - what those women have done - and that nominees had been interviewed. 
The 10 best women have been short-listed and a verification visit made to their home villages/towns. She said that they were also looking at skills transfer, sustainability of projects and whether it was easy to execute the projects.
