What is Easter? The website www.religionfacts.com says Easter is a festival that celebrates the central event of the Christian faith: the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his death by crucifixion.

It is believed that on Good Friday, Jesus Christ was executed by crucifixion. His body was taken down from the cross and buried. On Sunday, some women visited the grave and found that the tomb was empty.

His followers realised that God had raised Jesus from the dead. Easter is the oldest Christian holiday and the most important day of the church year.
